There is much to be learned in this book, although my copy is antiquated and would not be helpful to someone interested in popular slang or paryridge day terms. That, I believe, is an example of an illogical formulation.

Good for school work Given the prescriptivist penchant for insisting that words must have very clearly defined meanings and their obsession with precision in language, it just seems weird how cavalierly they toss illogical about. Garner’s Usaye American Usage.
