I adored how Westerfeld re-imagines the Pretty world and expands it with an entirely new cast with a few appearances from some old favorites! The first three books Uglies, Pretties, and Specials follow Tally Youngblood, a fifteen-year-old girl living in a futuristic world so dominated by plastic surgery that anyone who looks normal is ugly.
So if you like the other books in this series—or even just the first one—this is a worthy addition. I also have to say that I find the idea of all these teenage characters—Aya is fifteen —doing and accomplishing eztras of this stuff on their own vaguely ridiculous, which officially makes me too old for these books.

Westerfeld raises a lot of interesting questions as Aya deals with the ethics of kicking her new story and tries to decide if honesty really is more important than fame.
