Barbara Griffith rated it really liked it Jul 11, For me, this book was a quiet trove of information, gently affirming my own loneness, without inspiring loneliness. Pines Romantic Jealousy, pihes Keeping the Spark Alive,a social psychologist and researcher who is also a clinical psychologist specializing in relationship issues, tackles her subject from both perspectives.
The author is a psychologist, so perhaps it’s not surprising that the data gets interpreted this way.

Maybe because I could relate to many examples she gives. They have a minute conversation, which are recorded and judged for liveliness, warmth, intimacy, sexiness, and sociability.
There are no discussion topics on this book malacg. It includes detailed scientific research results and provides “the big picture” on the love theme from different psychological perspectives from the last century up to date. I have never found such a comprehensive book on love and I like the professional approach A.
Neither does it offer evolutionary perspectives on the phenomenon of falling in love. The new edition offers updated references to recent research, new chapter exercises, and “case examples” of romantic stories to begin each chapter. The second edition furthers the work of the popular and successful first edition. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers.
